Carol started showing Morgan horses at the age of two at her parent’s breeding farm, Melodic Morgans. At age ten, she was Reserve Champion in the AHSA Morgan Jr. Medal finals at 3’6”. By age eleven, Carol started riding at the Pacific Horse Center (now Brookside Equestrian Center) with Twiggy Langer. In the same year, she won her first Junior Hunter Championship on her horse Specialty. Throughout her junior riding career Carol competed in the hunters, equitation and jumpers. She made her first appearance in the Grand Prix ring at age 19. In 1991, she won her first World Cup Qualifier, a $50,000 class in Los Angeles. She is also shown in many Young Jumper Championships and International Hunter Futurities. Carol owns and opperates Melodic Farms. Her deep passion for horses and teaching has helped bring her to where she is today.

My name is Trudy and for those of you who REALLY ''know'' me, know that I love my family, my horses and my starbucks in any order as long as its in a daily dose!! I grew up around horses but never took a solid interest in riding until 8 yrs old and took a lesson at a local Hunter/Jumper facility. I have been your not so typical horse crazy girl ever since. Horses have been my saving grace for a lot of things and that ''drive'' is what helped me muster up the courage that summer day at 19 yrs old to humbly ''walk down the hill'' of what was then Carol's Modesto facility and inquired about becoming a working student for Carol. With the exception of stepping away for a handful of years to start my family my heart, loyalty and working/riding career has been with Carol and Melodic Farms. Caro'ls talent, dedication and her un wavering love and compassion for the horses inspires me to be a better person, student, rider and teacher. I am honored and privileged to be a part of something so GRAND and I look forward to the upcoming show season with Carol, Les and the barn full of teamates and of course my AMAZING horse Bambs!! GO TEAM MELODIC!!
